3584: Close Calls w/ Lizzy Cassidy and Kevin Casey White
Lizzy Cassidy returns with her Close Calls Podcast co-host Kevin Casey White, and they discuss near-death experiences and alcohol recovery. They also help break down the latest with Adam Levine’s eyebrow-raising DMs and Jeff Garlin revealing he has bi-polar disorder a day before the Season 10 premiere of The Goldbergs, which he was fired from for inappropriate behavior.

I have a near death experience every time my blood is low. If I don’t get it up I die. I’m one of the lucky few who can mostly function while low meaning-my body has a strong protect and survive drive. I’ve always woken up when low-not every diabetic does-I can usually communicate what is going on.
I know when driving there have been many times where I avoided a crash that could have been very bad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'm one of those people who only drink one or two drinks at home.
If I'm out with people, I usually drink a few just to be more social and talkative. But I don't enjoy the drinks. I still have alcohol in my house that was gifted to me last Christmas. Never saw my parents drink growing up, and I didn't really care to try it more until mid-20s. It's the same with my siblings. After mid-20s and working, networking and dating more, I became far more social and realized that a lot of people love drinking. Anyway, I'm lucky that alcohol never took hold of me. |

My father had a near death experience when he nearly drawn as a child.
Time stopped, he was in the tunnel people are talking about on the way to the light extremely fast. But then he came back. He talked about it fist time about 30 years after it happened. Hey good for an immigrant dad still! |

I'm the kind of 1-2 Glas drinkers people hate or admire. It was the same with cigarettes when I was younger.
The way Keith is with potato chips I'm with drinking. I feel it's enough after a glass and don't want to drink more or get bored with alcohol for longer periods of time overall. So I'm not and addict but I have obsessive thoughts and had to be in therapy for the depression from it so I have other problems. ( it got better) |
