I voted for Chemda, because in spite of shitty person the whistle blower is it's more important to recognize the problem. rarely are we offered anecdotal evidence - which sadly gets more done than statistics these days. The only way we'd have heard this story is if it came from the teacher jeopardizing their career - which wouldn't likely happen.

Think about the guy who filmed the Eric Garner murder. Yes, it's a shame he's a shitty guy too; however, it doesn't - or rather shouldn't - take away from actual crime present.

Also, please have Peggy on again without Liam, as I'd like to get to know her, and to forget knowing Liam at all.

I guess I didn't 100% articulate my point well arguing with Chemda because A) It was about 6000 degrees in the studio and B) At some point I was more interested in how passionate Chemda was than in actually debating the topic.

But essentially, I don't feel like the high school system failed this girl; as I was told over and over by my own teachers, you get exactly out of the school system what you put into it. By her own admission, she didn't show up for class, she didn't take the finals, nothing. I'd bet anything that by promoting her out of high school, Bryant wasn't helping her, they were getting her out so that a student who was interested in learning could maybe have the resources she was taking up.

By this logic, politicians who publicly support campaign finance reform, (while secretly, continually benefitting from it) are heroes. You can't perpetrate the crime AND be the hero. This dumb-dumb isn't a whistleblower; she's a manipulator who has tricked people into thinking personal responsibility doesn't exist.

I don't agree with the hate being thrown this girls way, but I also don't agree that she is a whistle blowing hero. It would be funny if her getting a diploma was just a clerical error and her speaking up gets the diploma taken away.
