Fumi

i dont know if she reads this or not

for what it's worth, i thought she added a lot to the show

she made me laugh and gave me something to think about

Fumi seemed to find white people somewhat of an enigma; for example how keith (and presumably other white men) can spend time away from family at holidays and not think it a big deal

and so i was wondering if in general as a black woman if this rings true:

As a group white men lack a cohesiveness of culture and of family. This lack of passion over family (defined in many different ways) is alien to a lot of other cultures.
Even the individuals who are successful at worshiping the dollar and become "successful" in our narrow of perception of the term, seem to lack soul.

i would expect that trait to be disturbing to those not raised that way.

And have you noticed the same loss in certain successful black men?

i may be reading more into your commentary than was intended, but it's where listening to you led me

thanks

I don't think its a white thing. With my family, you wouldn't get caught dead without going to christmas with them. Its not even a decision you just go. And we're white. I think its just the environment you were brought up in. It was funny at the time, but if you want to go all analytical, a lot of the stuff they talk about isn't a race thing at all. Put an Israeli, a white and a black in a room, and say that every single thing they differ on is because they are a different race. Hilarious.... But not true! There are always going to be differences. I bet there a lot of white people who will be driving down to summerset to have dinner with the relatives they hate this christmas. Thats just not Keith's family.

fovorite guests

Fumi is a great guest. She went a little over board with the "crazy white people" thing but, it's great to have another point of view on the show. My favorite guests are still

1. Patrice
2. Chemda's brother
3. Keth's assorted previous roomates.
4. Fumi

I thought the show was great and Fumi was a great entertaining addition to the show. However, if I hear anyone say Crazy. White. People. one more fucking time, I might seriously break something.

Does this mean that KATG has a relatively small fan group, that are very dedicated to the show? Is Keith and the Girl's real popularity overestimated when podcasts such as "adds for the OC" or "radio leo" outrank us on iTunes?

If you look at what I download, the most downloaded show is either Podictionary or Microbe World Radio. Why? Because they are daily shows. And they are short. Other shows I get sick of (Geeks On, DSC, etc) and remove from my aggregator. KATG is unique in that I really look forward to it.

Hell, I got mentioned and called a crazy Greek (which ironically is one of the few ethnicities I don't have in my average white mutt blood).

Fuck Fumi

Cool name, not so cool guest. I felt like the first 5-10min of the show was dragged on for an hour, then the show ended.

Broken. Ass. Record.

I'll agree with this. If Fumi is going to be on again, perhaps Keith and Chemda could suggest a few more lame punchlines that she could say over and over. I'm glad that they were able to steer the conversation momentarily away from race, but Fumi, that girl has a one track mind.

So, let's talk about Slavery. Yay!

Back in the day, like ancient Greek or Anglo or whatever, hell, even Chinese and Hebrew, people had slaves. Unlike the way we did it in Los Estados Unidos, they didn't specify which race would be a slave, and generally, you got a slave more based on economic class (sell your kids, get too much in debt and your new master bails you out, etc). Nationality played a role, as you'd take the people you conquered in war and make them your slaves. Which reminds me, the US needs to do this for some country full of hot nympho women.

Slavery has always existed and it exists now. Just try to adopt from Cambodia. Ooh, you can't. Why? Cause they sell people over there and the US wants no part of it (see, all the money for adoption goes to lawyers, and we wanna keep it that way, har har har). There have been times where people get all enlightened and don't have slavery and look down on the cultures which did, and then they say "man, free labor" and get them some slaves a couple of centuries later.

Now, this does not deter from the fact that white men 200 YEARS AGO (aka, not me) did enslave some black people. Some masters were assholes. The south, as a whole, were assholes and decided to war against the real US because of it (legalities about such war will not be mentioned here, as the stupid south did have the legal right to get out of the US, but I'm glad Lincoln kicked their asses). But you don't hear Hawaiians bitching, do you? Or the Lakota Indians? Hell, my wife is an Ichota Cherokee, and they don't bitch (though they did lie to the whites and say "yeah, I'm white. My name is John Short (or Man or many other lame ass names they made up)).

Now, the Jews. God hates you, see. He singled you out at his people and you constantly crap all over him. Look at history. All of it. See. See.

But the way to spread awareness that some blacks are embarrasing posers while other work their ass off and are descriminated against because of the stereotype that people like P Diddy and 50 Cent revel in, it's not to say crazy white people 90 times.

Did anyone ever get a count? I'm actually interested in this.

For ONCE i agree with HM. I have not finished the show because the quote "crazy white people" was said way to much.

I may finish the show if someone tells me it got better.

How true. How true. I think he is still pissed we killed his only son, or maybe it was the golden calf, or something....jeez G-d, it's been like thousands of years already, bro, can't you just let it go?

Amen, I hate to chime in with naysayers but she didn't contribute much to the conversation. She did sound incredibly hot, but I have been fooled before by that. I think someone posted a good idea of having a call-in topic on fridays, and that more people need to call in.

I still enjoyed the show.
