If you look on the top left of the tombstone you'll see the fireman's insignia. I assume voluntary but still.

His thighs were starting half the fires!

Plugs aren't that taboo anymore. You still get the occasional dumbass asking if you stick dicks in your ear holes, but it's not as frequent as it was a few years ago. It's totally based on the company if they'll hire a plugged individual or not. I work at a multi-billion dollar technology company and was hired with my ears already stretched. People are starting to figure out that most people with tattoos and piercings/plugs aren't the derelicts they assumed they once were.

I thought the tombstone was a fake, so I looked it up. He actually did pass away, and the Breaking News banner above his story was "Somerset Borough police K-9 dies."

His grandfather died a few months after he did too.
