Loved it I'm not the only one with a fucked up family. My mother's side of my family disowned me for leaving New Mexico too take care of my father when basically he was on his death bed. So thank you Keith And The Girl and everyone involved for saving my dad when even our own family turned their backs on us. Also Lauren Emmy keep doing GREAT shows i love them all, you guys make VIP worth every cent.

A lot of this show resonated with my own personal experiences. This list/ show is my favorite thus far.
"My father cried watching Passion of the Christ." The entire room erupts in laughter...lol. I love this show I've heard Lauren's father on WMN and I can only imagine the horror of getting busted while super high. I think I've got her beat though, with a caught by parents on NYE, age 13, tripping on acid for the first time. My incredibly Christian father and mother came home early from a party because my asshole sister ratted me out and said that I was on drugs. Also, if you've ever been on acid you know it's impossible to hide the fact your eyes are dilated to the size of quarters and are pitch black. Fortunately, much like Lauren's father, my God-fearing dad had been a hell-raiser previously before giving up personal thought/ freedom to religion. My mother later told me she once found him talking to a tree, high on LSD, at a Neil Young concert. So...it all worked out ok. Also, who ever said their mom would pick them up super late from school I totally feel for. I used to get out of elementary school at 2:30 and not get picked up until 4:30-5:30. It got to be so bad that I'd have to hide by walking around behind school by baseball diamond because teachers would leave and ask where my mom was and it was embarrassing. They'd lock up the building and I was literally the only one around. It was eerie. I was 8 yrs old. Fortunately this school was so remote that I didn't get kidnapped or something. Christian parents don't worry about pedophiles, I guess. Also, I was terrified of missing my ride and/or making my mom feel bad so I'd just hang around and not mention it. Is there a bigger motivating factor for Atheism and/or drug use than religious parents? I think not. |
