In the United States there’s no law requiring citizens to carry identification of any kind.
However, in Hiibel v. Sixth Judicial District Court of Nevada, the Supreme Court upheld state laws requiring citizens to reveal their identity when officers have reasonable suspicion to believe criminal activity may be taking place. It was decided that the name disclosure did not violate the Fourth Amendment prohibition on unreasonable searches and seizures. These are commonly known as “stop-and-identify” statutes, laws which permit police to arrest criminal suspects who refuse to identify themselves. Currently 24 states had stop-and-identify laws. So you must keep in mind that police can never compel you to identify yourself without reasonable suspicion to believe you’re involved in illegal activity. However, if they do suspect such, you must identify yourself. |

And unfortunately the Supreme Court has ruled that the Police do not do not have to protect and serve the public at large, no matter what their motto's say. They are only required to protect and server public officials.

It's possible I went into this episode with a sour taste in my mouth about Luis but he is a douche and there is nothing funny about him. Deuce was funnier than this guy. Worst guest I've ever heard. Dan Soder is awesome as always and I find it odd that these two are even friends.

Dan Soder is funny, but he talks...a lot. A bit overwhelming and loud during shows. But I like that he tried to remain objective during the Luis vs. Kelly talk.
Luis J. Gomez had some great points during the other topics, specifically the cop talk. Finally, someone had a different perspective and made valid points about shit heads who act like victims ("I didn't anything wrong") around cops. The Kelly talk was awkward. Luis is so against physical violence but he's completely fine with emotional violence. He made the connection himself during the show, but didn't say he's going to change his behaviour. He's a hypocrite. Although, it was interesting to hear the other side of the story. |
