On the Morgan Spurlock story, I believe there is a way for them to come out before their story does. It needs to be from a place of humility and complete authenticity. This Spurlock story lacked both, which is why it reads in an odd way. He seems to be going for it, but also there is a subtle sense that he is trying to protect himself and cover his tail, faking the humility and the authenticity. Like y’all said, if they’re going to come out, then tell the full story and be willing to deal with the repercussions. This read to me like a weird spin on someone wanting to have their cake and eat it, too.
I also liked what Emma said about it being traumatic for the victims. It is their story, and it feels like by him telling it that he is taking away power from them.
