I will blast most of my music with my roommates around without caring, especially if I’m cooking or doing dishes. But I definitely try to keep it to stuff they would also be kind of into, I don’t need other people judging my depressing/emotional/indie favorites. And I only put on the B-52’s like once a month bc I’m polite.
Singing in the house is a whole other story. I’ve had to record some stuff for virtual gigs and I’m always half cringing when I’m letting it rip knowing they’re hearing every note, good or bad. I know they don’t give a shit but I give a shit. If one of them said to me “I heard you singing” with no other commentary I’d probably never sing again. |

I get not wanting to play music out loud, I have also some problem with it.
Especially with songs I really love, I don’t want any negative remarks about them. I would maybe think about it the next time I listen to them. I guess it has to do with not wanting vulnerability Or something. Last edited by Apia resurrected; 02-25-2021 at 02:31 PM. |
