Here in Europe we have something that’s „having a spare key at someone’s house who lives nearby and whom we trust for emergencies“
Did you hear about this concept? It’s pretty convenient. |

Ah yes, the neighbor alliance. I will be cat-sitting for my neighbor friend soon. The cat fucking hates me.

TL;DR blooping is safe
In order of security Apple Pay/ Android Pay Tap & Pay Chip card + Pin (American Banks think we are too dumb to remember 4 numbers) Chip Card Magnetic stripe (this is why so much card fraud happens at gas stations) |

Posting to say yes, my parents also put their credit cards (the physical cards) in the freezer. They're in their 70's and are white.
I think it had to do with poor impulse control - putting it in ice physically breaks the current action/reminds the person "hey, the card is in here for a reason". A psychological quick fix instead of facing the problem. Back then, the card numbers weren't as accessible like they are today. Last edited by swiggy; 03-29-2023 at 09:40 AM. |

Love Shalewa! There have been guests you can listen to with a straight face, but never her.
I keep like $180 (used a $20) in cash. I’ve never heard of putting a credit card in the freezer, but I have gone nuclear and ran a credit card through a pair of scissors |
