I used to to the oil change with my father before I got into Big Pharma where the company takes care of the car ( and maybe my soul? Who knows?). That’s car privilege, I’m aware!

Good for Kevin for making positive changes in his life!
But I also think this is too much, too fast. Like his tendency to act in relationships…… |

I know how to change the oil and have done it regularly in the past. That was just how we did it. Now it's just easier to have my mechanic do it while he's doing the rest of the service.
I limit myself now to changing light bulbs and filling the windscreen wiper fluid. I'm curious about The Flash screening in a room full of Vets. Did any of them give the impression they knew who Ezra Miller is? Most of the noise I saw (on Facebook from Vets I actually know/knew) over fucking Bud-Light would suggest it would take more than a free ticket to go see a movie with starring a person that is non-binary they/them. I hope I phrased that right...

Automotive Answer Corner: (For anyone who cares)
Yes, tires rotate as part of driving. But that's not what they're talking about. When you have your tires rotated as part of A1 service, it means they move (rotate) the tire to another place on the vehicle. Where, depends on a few things, but a common rotation is to move the front tires to the back, and back tires to the front. You want to do that because front tires wear differently than back. When you turn corners, the edges of the front tires wear down. By moving the tires around, it spreads the wear to all tires, so they all last longer. And yes, you can do it yourself, but it's a giant pain in the ass. Life it too short. Let the people with the equipment do it. |

i’ve never changed my own oil, but i think i could in an emergency. let’s see:
1) jack up the car or drive it up the little elevated triangle things 2) scuttle underneath the car on your back 3) position your drain pan 4) unscrew the drain plug 5) allow the old oil to drain into the pan 6) replace drain plug 7) unscrew old oil filter 8) screw in new oil filter 9) fill car with requisite type and quarts of oil 10) grab a snack for a job well done how’d i do? |
