This was an absolutely fantastic episode. Such an interesting story and everytime a question came into my head Chemda asked it for me moments later. It must be a tough subject to open up about, so thanks to Stephen for sharing and Chemda for the engaging interview.

Amazing guest. I could listen to him talk for hours on end.
I feel like this episode just barely scratched the surface of the topic, but was enthralling the whole way through. Good job! More please! ![]() |

Great guest. Good job, Chemda! He spoke so calmly about all of it, it was really interesting.

One of the common themes of these shows is how often the guests mention that they do not usually talk about what they come on the show to talk about. This is such a testament to how awesome of an interviewer Chemda is. I don't think she always realizes how unique and amazing it is that she is able to get people comfortable enough to open up and share some of their darkest demons-on a public forum, recorded, their faces on YouTube.... It is truly remarkable and she seriously deserves prestigious awards!

Think about what J. Brantley said about Kurt Cobain. For those who remember the 'grunge' era in music. EVERYONE was doing heroin.
Lead singer of Nirvana. Lead singer of Soundgarden. Lead singer of Alice in Chains. Band drummer Jimmy Chamberlain of Smashing Pumpkins. These were just the popular, well-known bands. There were many, many others. This was early 1990's. Heroin was huge. Remember that monologue in Quentin Tarantino's 'Pulp Fiction?' When john Travolta's character is buying drugs? "Heroin is making a big comeback." He put that because that's exactly what was happening. |
