Hari had some great insight on relationships.
You can get into bad habits in relationships. Once you get into that groove of 'poor communication - fight - fuck; followed by making up. You've both entered into an endless cycle. Hari mentioned he was fighting to win, not to understand where the other person was coming from. I think we all do that. Some of us way too much. Last edited by J. Canines; 02-19-2014 at 10:17 PM. |

Loved this show. Its so awesome because I've been listening to all the old episodes and it seems at least once a week you call back to something I was just listening to. You guys got a little ad money from that movie Little Man and after you saw it there was a classic Keith rant about how the government should have you view this movie and if most of the theater is enjoying it the place gets gassed because they must be morons and we shouldn't have people like this voting. I rewound and listened several times because my hysterical laughter was making me miss things. This must be kind of a distant memory for you guys but it had me amazingly entertained. Love it love it love it.

Weird that a dude is afraid of being misunderstood on the forums, but not being in the Navy when he can't swim.
That's why I prefer chat, by the way... communication is more natural and unless you're a dickhead without a camera like scumhook, you can actually see the person's smirk when they're talking about banging your mom. Speaking of which: chat party, this Friday at 9pm Eastern. |

I voted that my man and I fight once a week.......but........
Fights usually build up between us. It takes several days of sniping then a blow out that can be quite mean. With children in the mix it changes everything, it upsets our little one when we fight and neither of us can take the guilt. I have made this big effort in my relationship it change my internal dialogue which was always keeping score. Internal dialogue can be very distructive so now when I catch myself thinking things that irritate me I switch the topic. I am happier, more content, just generally a better partner and parent because i've worked hard to stop trying to win fights. We still argue but the arguments are less fierce. More mundane things like laundry, dishes, getting free time etc. |
