101: The One After Episode 100
I have typed and backspaced and retyped the name of my show about a dozen times trying to figure out what to write for this description, and that makes me feel like a real piece of shit. I don’t even know if this will make the cut. Probably it will because I’m already running with the whole meta thing now, but oh my God everybody thanks again for tuning into That’s the Show with Danny this week. Here’s what I’m feeding your ears with this week: tales of my freshly-shaved armpits, my puberty voice, my positive mention in The AV Club, the His Dark Materials trilogy, and above everything else my paralyzing lack of confidence in and inability to stop some of the words coming out of my own mouth. It’s another fun episode! Just remember to keep the forums comments on the subject of how funny I am and not on the subject of whether or not abortion is moral! Thank you!!! (Just kidding!!!)

OMG, Danny. I know exactly what you're talking about when you mentioned people who say "oh, sorry, I was laughing at something else". It doesn't happen often, but it has to have happened to most people at least once, whether they realized it at the time or not.
It generally occurs in groups of people during parties or when there are multiple conversations happening in the same room. Different audio levels due to voices or media around you. Person 1 is talking to person 2, and then person 2 gets distracted by person 3 and tunes you out for a moment. Person 2 happens to laugh at something person 3 said, right when you, person 1, is saying something funny or meaningful too. Maybe they react in front of your face because you guys were having a conversation, but then look at the person they were actually reacting to. You think they're laughing at you but they were actually reacting to someone else. It could involve two people as well, but instead of a third person, person 2 reacts to the TV or their phone instead of you, person 1. I hope it doesn't happen too often to you, Danny |

I was far more excited than I should be, when Danny mentioned my little "theme tune remixes" and then played one at the end.
Coming up soon-ish will be some more-musical contributions - the few I've done so far were just cue-point juggling of the samples of Keith and Chemda. (Of course, if they get played in the show or not is another matter.) |
