Chemda deserves some major props for her football knowledge tbh, she's been listening to Keith and various guests discuss and debate football for years and still manages to give input each time. I've found myself learning about football thanks to Keith, even though I prefer futball :P

Very entertaining episode, Taylor 's mum needs to come on the show, she sounds like a gem!

Not that I'm on the side of a team that decides it claims an entire corner of the country as its own, but look at the score of the game.. Do we really think the ball is gonna have that significant an impact? Correct me if I'm wrong but I heard this was discovered at half time and then they used the correct balls from then on. The score for the second half of the game was 28-0. The colts total score was 7. Doing some quick math, you could take away all the points earned with the deflated balls and the colts are still blown out. I'm not saying tom Brady isn't a piece of shit, but it's weird to me that anyone cares about a very slight advantage when the game wasn't even close. It wasn't even close to close.

They're scum. But they're still very clearly the better team. I think people love to go up in arms about a thing like this and it's hard for me to say it's stupid because obviously it's cheating. It's like taking money from the bank in monopoly after you own 90% of the property though. You're a douche but who really gives a shit anymore? It's like you said, like you guys have been saying for so many years, it's even the title of your book. What do we do now? There's really nothing to be done. Hopefully the Seahawks wipe the floor with them and we get a nice close up of Tom Brady crying. It'll make for some fun memes.

PSI vs Weight

Chemda was doing so good with the football discussion, right up to the point where she mentioned the weight of the balls. When Keith first mentioned 12.5-13.5 pounds per square inch on episode 2123 (1:07:00), Chemda was clearly confused and asked if this was pounds or ounces. Keith did say it was pounds per square inch and Chemda replied "I don't understand" and moved on. In this episode, Chemda says "you would still recognize that the ball was lighter" (33:50).

I would love to hear an on air discussion of Keith explaining the difference in PSI vs pounds to Chemda.

The Patriots are the Richard Nixon of football. They would probably win in a matchup, but that's not quite good enough. They've got to cheat so the competition is a blow out. Of course when the cheating is revealed they look like real assholes.

I don't really pay attention to football, but this analogy feels true.

I think that would be a very painful discussion because clearly neither of them has a firm grip on what PSI actually means (not that I do either)

Start listening from 1:04 keith misspoke and said they underinflated "by 2 pounds of air" it isn't until later that he corrects the mistake to 2 psi.

Pounds is weight, psi is pressure, by misspeaking to begin with it made it unclear for Chemda and Nick that he was referring to air pressure.

Pshaw, who needs to learn maths and science, nobody ever has any reason to understand that stuff in the real world.
