I'm obviously terrible at providing regular feedback, but I love you both. This episode was equal parts funny and heartbreaking.
Happy belated birthday, Danny! Keep being awesome and I'm so glad you (and Xanax) spoke up to your family. Libby, your rage sparks the lady rage in me... as rageful as I can be as a Canadian. Thank you! Oh, and it's Bob Rock (not Bo Brock). I had a job where one of my managers thought my name was too hard and "nicknamed" me Bob... it serves as a reminder of why all men must die. I woke up early today, and thought I'd listen to a couple minutes of this show, get some work done, then finish listening. The show was so good, though, I couldn't make myself press pause, so I listened straight through. It was compelling as all hell. You and Libby obviously have great banter and are always a blast to listen to, so there's that. Danny, you're never not-funny, but when things get real, you're at your best. My favorite kind of comedy has always been when the laughs are mixed with the pain. Talking about hurtful family stuff made the jokey moments (both yours and Libby's) all the better. Not to deconstruct comedy or anything, but when you don't have your guard up so much, when you show your humanity, I tend to let my guard down, too. That makes me more receptive to all your feelings, good and bad, so I can feel your relief when you find humor in the pain. I'm sorry your family doesn't seem to be as open, intelligent, sensitive and empathic as you. There are lots of us out here who wouldn't change a thing about you. I also loved following your interaction with Joe Tubesteak-In-Underwear-Sauce on Facebook. As his name implies, he's a real piece of cylindrical dick meat. Great show. One of your best. That goes for Libby, too, since this episode was like Wrap It Up With Libby and Danny part II.

So happy to hear your enthusiasm for the "no war no kkk no fascist usa" chant!
You may very well already know this but I just wanted to pass on the origin of the lyrics. They are from the MASTERFUL punk band MDC from the song "Born To Die". https://youtu.be/GqUsvv3gSRo I saw MDC in about 1988, in Kalamazoo. The drummer had his 5 year-old son on tour with them. The kid sang a song with his big ear protection headphones on. After the show my friends and I jumped behind the drum kit and smoked the drummer out. I watched from back there as the lead singer chatted up my wife. They were talking and then he kissed her hand and she pointed back to us huddled down behind the bass drum and we all laughed. True story. Original G13 days. |

This is what your dumb uncle was talking about. I'd seen it before. It's conservative propaganda that's actually very ironic. Some items on the list are actually a direct result of conservative policies. I've been so behind on my podcasts lately due to a huge career change but you guys are as awesome as ever. I truly love the Libby-Danny combo pack!
