I've been to a stand up show by myself, I got clowned on for a bit by the comic who opened cause they sat me with a couple at the front.
I'd do it again, just not sit so close. But as far as going to the movies or live music shows by myself I'll do it all day. |

Just catching up now on some gems I missed. What a great episode! I adore all the dentist chat. Chemda's experience of being treated like a child was hilarious and reminded me of when I was.
I had jaw and facial surgery at 18 and have an array of fun hardware. I had to have my jaw wired shut for 6 weeks and they didn't really warn me, when I got the wires off, how much jaw weakness I would have at first. I was just so excited to eat after the 6 weeks that I raced to the cafeteria while my mom did wrap up hospital stuff. I got fries and sat down to put one in my mouth to realize I couldn't open my mouth more than a little sliver. I panicked until I realized I could rip the fries up, crush them into bits, fit them through the gap in my teeth and chew with my hands on my jaw. And that's what I did in a full cafeteria full of people. 2 different nurses came to check up on the unattended girl mashing up her food who tried to mumble something pleasant back with a broken jaw when asked if she "needed any help?" Lol |
