My diagnosis from another continent:

obstructive sleep apnea

I heard German podcast where a guy had exactly that and the same issue.

Poor Chemda. My sister is 60 something and plays pickleball.

To be fair, when she tried telling me about it a few years ago I thought she was taking the piss.

I may not have helped our relationship with "You're telling me you travel around the country playing this ridiculous sounding game?"

She then got all lofty trying to explain that the guy that "invented" it named it after his dog.

Stupid fucking name for a dog....

I'm about 85% certain. Something is in the way of breathing in your sleep and it created this mess from inside. But you will be fine.( ish)
