Please Apia, know you don't have to reference Nazis if you don't want to. But if it's fun or good for you, please let it happen every day. And anytime you talk with someone today - September 14, 2023 - please let it all flow with no apprehension or nervousness. You're an amazing person. You ARE.

In fact, may you have the greatest conversations tomorrow with any and everyone that you meet. I not only wish that for you, I beg it for you.

If I could die 1,000 deaths so that you get 1 ounce of extra happiness that wouldn't even make your diary, I'd kill myself twice with a smile on my face. Or rather, I'd let the disease of suicide take over with great pleasure.

And if today is ever less than perfect, then, well ... damn. Now we got a problem.

One of my kids friends mother is American from Louisiana ( luckily a sane Trump hater)
She said when she says something is ok, Germans think that means 80-90% good, but she means it only 50% good.
Because if she wanted to say something is 80-90% good she would have to say in American speech :ITS THE GREATEST THING IVE EVER SEEN, I LOVE IT AND IM DYING RIGHT NOW FROM EXCITEMENT.

You will not experience something like this here. You would be safe.

Family lore says, when my grandfather asked my grandmother if she wants to marry him she said : “ whatever, fine”
They stayed married for over 50 years and the relationship seemed good.

That’s the level of excitement I’m talking about.

As someone raised in the US South, this is it exactly. Just a longer form of the nod of acknowledging that you exist.
