Literally, right now I'm playing Empire: Total War on my pc. I've loved the entire Total War series, but agree with some that have said that it's better suited to pre-guns eras. Medieval: Total War has been my favorite game for years and the only game I've ever gone back to play over and over again. Usually my short attention span is limited to playing a game just long enough until another cool game comes out- and rarely returning. The turn-based strategy allows for nice toking-while-playing with little stress.

Earlier this morning I was kicking the shit out of the Russians (who had been whooping my ass earlier) in Tom Clancy's Endwar. While it's a far departure from the typical squad-based 3rd person war sim and got mediocre reviews, I really dig it. It's pretty arcady, but the AI is challenging and the graphical modeling is exquisite.

I've started playing Fallout 3, but I'm not hooked yet. It's a massive game, almost a little overwhelming. I never played Oblivion or anything, so it's hard for me to compare it... it's a pretty kick ass game all around though.

Depends on if it's your sort of game. If you liked Oblivion, you'll love it. If you like Fallout 3, checkout another awesome lesser-known game of a similar genre: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.

Modern Warfare made me start playing games again. I was addicted to it. And i admit that some of the final cut scenes made almost cry or at least stood in my mind for days.
World at War maybe isn't crap on its own but it's just an usual run-of-the-mill war FPS. The thing i liked most of the game was Gary Oldman voice acting, and that's not exactly what should stand out in a game, IMHO.

Modern Warfare reached a new peak for FPS, for sure. For fucks sake, there's a part where you slowly die of radiation poisoning while crawling into a playground... an enormous mushroom cloud in the distance and the faint, haunting sound of children playing in the air...

I feel like STALKER (one) is better than the sequel. Especially with the Oblivion Lost mod.

I have been neglecting my Xbox 360 Custom Soundtrack functionality. So I just now discovered how awesome a game like "Prince of Persia" is when you have up tempo music along with it.

So my question is: What is your favorite game to play with custom soundtracks?

I'm especially interested in the games that custom soundtracks enhance rather than the games where you turn them on when your bored with the games shitty music.

Im also looking forward to playing Mirrors Edge with some awesome music.

I haven't bought a new game in months.

I'm currently playing through Devil May Cry 3 (PS2) at work and i'm at 95% on GTA IV (360).
